No i think its a 1943 addiition to webbing so made it our for d-day, unlike the 'helve retainer' type e-tool covers whih i think were approved late 44 so never saw service.
For those not in the know somethinghas to be dated '43 to definatley have made war service as it take six months to a year for kit to get from manufacturer to frontline!

Dont forget that Pegasus should face forwards & Gadge, You forgot that 1 to 10 para had a couloured flash/ epoulete (About 1/4") each shoulder of the dennison I think it was the same colour as the Btn lanyard
